Delph Junior Church (DJC)
Who are we and what do we do?
Delph Junior Church provides Christian activities for young people.
Our aim is “to help children and young people to grow in their understanding that God’s love affects their lives on a personal level”.
Children and young people are an integral part of our church. We meet regularly on Sunday mornings at 9:30am during term time.
Whilst DJC is particularly suitable for under 11s, we welcome all ages, just asking that under 5s are accompanied by a parent or guardian, and also roughly once a month we have our “Elders” group which is tailored to our young people in Year 6 and above.
On Sunday mornings we always start off in Church for the first part of the service and then go to our group. When there is a Holy Communion we come back into Church to join our families for Communion. All children are offered the bread.
Building Project 2018 to 2020
The building has undergone some significant internal alterations bringing it into the 21st century. We are now back into the main body of the building and regular services are taking place.
